The Housing Authority Board consists of seven members, appointed by the Mayor and City Council for a five-year term. Members of the Housing Authority Board must be residents of the area of operation of the Bridgeport Housing Authority, which includes the City of Bridgeport and an area for ten (10) miles surrounding the city.

The purpose of the Housing Authority Board is to oversee operations of the Bridgeport Housing Authority, including Camp Clarke Villa.

The Housing Authority Board meets quarterly (June, September, December, and March) on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the McMillan Community Room at Camp Clarke Villa at 310 W. 5th Street in Bridgeport.
